LUXURY BRANDS & CREATIVITY PROJECT - OFF-WHITE BRAND EXTENSION
The ‘Luxury Brands & Creativity’ project was divided into an individual, and a group part.
In a group of three people we were asked to respond to an existing luxury brand’s product portfolio and look for opportunities for a brand extension. The module enabled us to undertake a creative process and gain insights to ‘design thinking’ and understanding of the complex decision-making processes that a product design process entails. We created - part team, part independent work - a luxury brand extension for Off-White, based on extensive market research. As a team we analysed the brand and its positioning, their product portfolio, the brand business model and strategy, target audience, market and industry trends, life cycle and product stewardship, and role of materials and craftsmanship as part of product design management.
The individual part involved an illustrative project report to capture, evaluate and reflect on the stages and processes of the new product development.
